What to do in case of an accident?

We explain the essential steps to take, then how Europa can take over.

First steps

to take at the scene of an accident

Your rights :

choose a certified collision center

You can choose your own body shop

In Quebec, your insurer may suggest a repair shop, but you are completely free to choose the collision center of your choice.

This choice is particularly important if you drive a luxury vehicle such as an Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen, or Cadillac, in order to avoid any loss of value.

Why choose a certified collision center for luxury vehicles

  • Compliance with methods and materials approved by manufacturers.
  • Better protection of resale value.
  • Complex cases handled from start to finish.
  • Specialized equipment for aluminum, sensors, cameras, etc.
  • Technicians who receive ongoing training on luxury vehicles.

Frequently asked questions

after an accident

No. In Quebec, you have the right to freely choose your collision center. Your insurer may recommend a repair shop, but they cannot force you to use it. Europa works with more than eleven insurers and is familiar with the procedures to facilitate the process.

The deadlines vary depending on your insurance policy, but it is generally recommended that you report your claim as soon as possible after the accident. Consult your insurer to find out the specific terms and conditions of your contract.

Ideally, you should have your insurance policy number, the claim number if you have already obtained it, and a few photos of the damage. But if you don’t have any of these, call us anyway: we will adapt to your situation.

No. Your deductible is determined by your insurance policy, not by the collision center you choose. It remains the same regardless of the repair shop.

You’re not alone

we’ll take care of the rest

An accident is upsetting. But the good news is that you don’t have to deal with everything on your own.
The Europa team knows exactly what to do and takes care of every step so that you can get your vehicle back in the best possible condition. From estimate to delivery, your case is in good hands.
